Civil War Collection

These images are original 1/1 photo lithographs. This process begins with a copy of a photograph or a drawing. The artist then uses a gum
arabic and handmade ink to transfer the rich ink onto archival papers by using a manual printing press.

The paper used in the images attached: Murillo (German Paper) and Linen.

Watercolor is also used to hand tint the images.

These particular images, "The Civil War Lithograph Series" are all printed by Candice Alexander.

Candice also made 20 or so more images inspired by the Civil War.

Candice is also willing and ready to combine the idea of people during the times of the Civil War with the life they lived. This idea can be
used in several mediums: Oil painting, digital processes, printmaking and drawing.
